Saturday, September 1st we headed to Orlando for my first ever Mommy Con! Mommy Con is a convention dedicated to educating parents about natural birth, breastfeeding, and babywearing. They advocate values of holistic health, eco-friendly diapering, child safety, female self-care, and wellness. They have created a community of support, acceptance, and non-judgment for parents in their journey of parenthood.

Mommy Con 2018 was held at the Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel & Convention Center and it was a blast! It was amazing to be surrounded by fellow Moms and Dad’s, attending the sessions and checking out all the great companies. It was definitely an event worth experiencing.

There was a full day of events scheduled for both Moms and Dads. We enjoyed many Educational sessions, tested out products, and meet with a variety of parenting experts. There was a babywearing lounge, the Vagina Village where they discussed feminine wellness, a cloth diaper resource center, and play places spaces throughout the event. Huggies even provided a free diaper changing area. There was also a quiet room set up for napping babies and toddlers. I even spotted some parents napping in there lol.

There were games, giveaways, and tons of shopping! I was able to meet with some of my favorite vendors while discovering some new companies as well. They all offered a variety of products and services geared towards kids under 5.

There were also tons of workshops and sessions geared towards Dads in the Daddy Con portion,  along with a Dad Games Competition featuring That Dad Mat. Daddy Con is the ultimate dad focused parenting convention that covers all aspects of fatherhood.

Mommy Con 2018 was a fun event, and I can’t wait to attend next year! Whether you are pregnant with your first or a mom of three, I highly suggest attending. It is the ultimate #momweekend full of education, learning, samples, shopping, and the ability to test out new products! You will meet with leading experts on everything relevant to parenting. You can also try on baby carriers, get picky eating solutions, and potty training tips.

I can’t wait to see what is in store for next year at Mommy Con Orlando 2019!
